1958 Hire’s Root Beer #34 Clem Labine Los Angeles Dodgers Without Tab
Bids
Condition: MySlabs C (vg/ex)
Description
This comes from a 66-card set produced during the first season the Dodgers played in Los Angeles after relocating there from Brooklyn following the 1957 season. The cards were issued with detachable coupons and inserted in cartons of Hires Root Beer. This example has the coupon removed, which is usually the case given the tab typically was submitted by the purchaser to join the Hires Baseball Club. Has corner/edge/surface wear but no creases. The color/gloss are strong, and the back is clean. Labine was a mainstay of the Dodgers bullpen for most of his 13-year Major League career that began in 1950. He was a 2x All-Star who appeared in the World Series 5 times with the Dodgers between 1953 and 1960, winning it 3 times. Overall, a strong lower mid-grade example that presents well. You will receive a partial refund for shipping costs after payment is made when multiple auctions are won within the same week.
