1972 Topps #309 (2) 1972 Topps #310 (1) 1972 Topps #226 (1) These are the last Topps cards issued during his storied playing career due to his tragic death in a plane crash on December 31, 1972. The first card #309 pictured is in decent shape overall. It has a hairline crease on the right side, but nice eye appeal. The second card #309 pictured is not in as good of shape as the first. It has substantial wear, including creases and a small tear at the bottom edge. However, there is no paper loss and the color/centering for the card is decent. Card #310 is in the best shape overall, with no creases, but it does have a pen mark below the number on the back. Card #226 has a hairline crease at the bottom edge and an indentation near his helmet, but is solid otherwise. A decent, affordable lower grade lot overall. See additional pics.
