Beltre began his career with Los Angeles Dodgers as a 19 year old youngster that joined the team in 1998. Beltre enjoyed a superb 2004 season, his last with Dodgers, as he slugged 48 HRs, 121 RBIs and batted .334 as he was runner-up in the National League MVP voting.
