This card comes from the last of 3 sets (Set C) issued by the American Caramel Company between 1908 and 1910. As a general rule, candy issues are much harder to obtain than tobacco issues of the same era and often found in very poor condition due to significant staining from being packaged with candy. This example is above average for the grade with vibrant color, crystal-clear focus, minimal staining and dark black printing front and back. Milan played 16 seasons in the Major Leagues between 1907 and 1922, all with the American League Washington Nationals. Along the way, he was teammates with Hall of Famers Walter Johnson, Sam Rice, Bucky Harris and Goose Goslin.
