Original news photograph capturing Yankees Hall of Famer Lou Gehrig chatting with fiancé (later wife) Elanor in 1933. Gehrig is pictured in uniform leaning against the stands, indicating this interaction was captured either before or after a game. A published stamp for The Inquier, credit stamp for ACME, and accompanying newspaper slug appear on the reverse. The newspaper slug notes that Eleanor, a native of Chicago, attends every game that Gehrig is in town. The photo (8 x 6 inches), which displays extraordinary clarity, has pinholes around every corner. There also are two pieces of tape and scattered notations on the reverse; Very Good condition overall.
