This postcard was filled out and signed by Honus Wagner, apparently in response to an inquiry about when he played as a minor leaguer in Warren, PA (1895). The note's date is obscured due to paper loss, but it appears to have been written on July 17, 1916, toward the end of Wagner's playing career. The image is titled "Hans Wagner and His Young Recruits," and features Wagner with a group of local kids that he mentored when he and the Pirates were in Dawson Springs, Kentucky, for Spring Training. The best part is, of course, their silly hats.
