The 1966 Batman – Series A trading card set feature graphic drawings of the caped crusader and his trusted partner, Robin, battling the forces of evil in The Joker, Penguin, The Riddler, Captain Kidd and other nefarious villains as well as monsters from the animal kingdom. In this 44-card set (#1A-44A) that measures 2-1/2” by 3-1/2”, the Dynamic Duo keep Gotham City safe from evil-doers and find themselves in numerous precarious situations that they must wriggle out successfully. Each card front displays a full-color comic drawing of Batman and/or Robin with a bold red bat showing the card’s title with the images surrounded by a thin red border and white outer perimeter. On the back you find a short paragraph explaining the front, a card number amidst a black circle and then a portion of a larger puzzle image of the caped crusaders. Highlights include the first and last cards of the set in Ghostly Foe (#1A) and Batman on Broadway (#44A).
