Description

This is a 1926 W511 Unnumbered Babe Ruth red toned strip card, graded "Authentic - Minimum Size Not Met" by SGC. SGC designates this card as "Maroon Duotone," and it is the only unnumbered maroon Ruth on SGC's population report. PSA alternately refers to cards from this series as "Unnumbered Maroon-Hand Cut" and "Red Toned, No#" in its population report. This Ruth has ample borders on all sides and measures 1.3125" x 2.1875". SGC did not explain why this one received a "minimum size not met," when SGC has given numeric grades to numbered W511 cards with thinner borders. This might be a candidate for a numeric grade with a PSA crossover, but it's a crapshoot given the relative obscurity of this card and the loose grading standards for strip cards in general.
