1951 Topps Blue Back #34 Earl Torgeson Boston Braves 🔥⚾🔥⚾
Condition: MySlabs D (good/vg)
Description
First year Topps issue from the more difficult to obtain Blue Back set with strong color and focus as well as decent centering. There is surface and edge wear, including a wrinkle along the front top third that does not affect the back of the card. Torgeson played 15 years in the Major Leagues from 1947 to 1961. He was a member of the 1948 Boston Braves that represented the National League in the World Series against the Cleveland Indians, who beat the Braves in 6 games. Torgeson also was a member of the Chicago White Sox team in 1959 that lost the World Series in 6 games to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Overall, a nice lower grade example for your collection.
