1913 The National Game WG5 George Stovall St. Louis Browns 🔥⚾🔥⚾
Condition: MySlabs D (good/vg)
Description
The National Game set (American Card Catalog Designation WG5) was issued in 1913 and intended for use as an actual card game, which is why many surviving examples from this set have corner/edge/surface wear. This card is no exception, although it is worth noting the cards in the set have rounded corners by design. The card pictured features George Stovall of the American League St. Louis Browns. It is 100% authentic, not a reprint. Stovall debuted with the Cleveland Indians in 1904 and played 12 seasons of professional baseball: 8 with the Cleveland, 2 with St. Louis; and 2 with the Kansas City Packers of the short-lived Federal League. The card has some wrinkles and a slight corner crease in the upper right front/upper back left but is a decent lower grade example considering it is 111 years old! Here's your chance to own a neat vintage card with a unique design from the early days of professional baseball.
