1921-23 National Caramel E220 Set of 120 Emil Meusel New York Giants 🔥⚾🔥⚾
Condition: MySlabs E (poor/fair)
Description
Card has surface/corner/edge wear including creases as well as some staining on the front. Tough to obtain 1920's candy issue that is 100% original. Emil Frederick "Irish" Meusel played 11 seasons in the Major Leagues between 1914 and 1927 for the Washington Nationals, Philadelphia Phillies, New York Giants and Brooklyn Dodgers. He was one of the leading hitters of the day and the starting Left Fielder for New York Giants teams that won 4 consecutive National League Pennants from 1921 to 1924. The Giants won the World Series in 1921 and 1922, beating the New York Yankees and his brother Bob both times. Overall, a decent lower grade example with nice eye appeal for your collection.
