1949 Bowman Roy Campanella #84 Excellent - CGC Near Mint 7 A native of Philadelphia, Roy Campanella signed with the Baltimore Elite Giants as a 15-year-old in 1937. He starred in the Negro Leagues before joining the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1948. The Hall of Fame backstop enjoyed a 10-year major league career before his tragic automobile accident shortly before the Dodgers' move to the West Coast. Offered is the HOF's 1949 Bowman rookie card with deep color and a decently centered portrait.
