He started as a 3 Time world series championship pitcher with the Red Sox. He still holds Fall Classic ERA records and was the ace of their staff. He was signed by the Yankees and became the game's best hitter, setting marks for every major record, including homers in a season with 60, and career with 714. They stood for decades, and Ruth's popularity has stood for a century. The legend is still a hobby staple, only rivaled by the likes of Mickey Mantle. His true rookie cards are all priced in the Millions, this is one of the only true vintage Ruth cards produced, before the 80s and 90s started their reprint production.
