History of the Set & Card: The Set: Issued in 1938 by the famous British tobacco company John Player & Sons, this set consists of 25 "large format" cards (approx. 85mm x 55mm). The Purpose: These cards were included in cigarette packs to educate the public on wildlife while encouraging them to collect the full series to paste into specialized albums.
