Kent was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame by the Contemporary Baseball Era Committee on 12/07/2025 and will be inducted on 07/26/2026. This card is one of his earliest and an absolute blazer with 1 10 and 3 9.5 sub-grades, making it a hard-to-find true GEM MINT example! It was produced in 1988 when Kent was still in college at the University of California Berkeley and playing that summer in the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League for the Cotuit Kettleers. A year later, he was drafted in the 20th round of the 1989 MLB Amateur Player Draft by the Toronto Blue Jays and went on to have a stellar 17-year career that earned him enshrinement in Cooperstown.
