Description

Original news photograph of Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, Mel Ott, and Joe Moore from the 1937 World Series between the New York Yankees and New York Giants. Encapsulated and certified as an original Type I photograph by PSA/DNA. The four men are pictured holding a single bat playing a game of "Handies." ACME and United Press International credit stamps can be seen on the reverse. An ACME newspaper slug (dated 10/6/37) is taped to the reverse and provides a brief description of the photograph. The photograph (9 x 7 inches) is missing a small piece of the upper left corner and has a spot of moderate paper adhesive on the reverse but is in otherwise Excellent condition.
