1913 National Game George Stovall St. Louis Browns

Condition: MySlabs D (good/vg)

Description

The National Game set was issued in 1913 and intended for use as an actual card game, which is why many surviving examples from this set have corner/edge/surface wear. This card is no exception, although it is worth noting the cards in the set have rounded corners by design. The card pictured features George Stovall of the American League St. Louis Browns. It is 100% authentic, not a reprint. Stovall debuted with the Cleveland Indians in 1904 and played 12 seasons of professional baseball: 8 with Cleveland, 2 with St. Louis; and, 2 with the Kansas City Packers of the short-lived Federal League. The card has some wrinkles and a slight corner crease in the upper right front/upper back left, but is a decent lower grade example considering it is 109 years old! Priced accordingly.
