This is a true Gem Mint Fleer Rookie of CAL RIPKEN JR (1982). BGS 9.5. True Ripken collector will know that a Fleer Rookie is the hardest to find in Mint or Gem Mint condition--followed by the Donruss Rookie. The regular Topps and the Topps Traded, although more popular, are far easier to find in the Mint & Gem Mint grades. Just search online for the population reports. Beckett is far stricter in grading than PSA and a PSA 10 is easier to find (nearly 10x as many exist even though PSA only graded less than 4x more cards). But, PSA 10's have been selling in recent weeks for $2400-3,000. So, many people send in their BGS 9 and 9.5 cards to PSA to get a PSA 10 SIMPLY BECAUSE THE CURRENT PRICES ARE HIGHER. Feel free to do so but I say HOLD ONTO IT because at some point in the future, the market will realize the BGS 9.5 grade is tougher and more desirable.
